This ad is amazing. Everything about it from the music to the stories of the people hooks you. This definitely uses the epistemic approach. You watch this ad and it makes you want to know more about these families and you want to know that it is the right thing to legalize gay marriage. This ad puts these people lives out there in a way that you feel sympathy for what they don't have but you can relate or understand all the love that they do have. It creates a sense of dissonance for the viewer. You see it and feel as if they should have what I am able to have someday with the man I love. They have the same feelings but not the same rights and that sense of dissonance there causes you to see how wrong that is.
